How do you guys I.D./label your moonbounces when they are rolled up in the warehouse? I was looking around and saw some straps that had nameplates built into the strap but those were a bit expensive.

Any suggestions? Does anybody paint or spraypaint the unit theme/size on the underside on the unit so when you roll it up it's still visible? If so, what kind of paint do you use?

Cut a piece of old vinyl for a label and attach it to strap

I use the thick black sharpie or a white paint pen on the bottoms. This came up this week, I got a shipment in from Ninja and blew them up but didnt mark all of them (in a rush I guess) and took a lady Dora instead of Disney Princess. Well when I blew it up I was like ah sh!t until the little girl ran to her mom screaming yea thank you mommy for Dora she's my favorite. LOL. From there it was a wink and a nod and a smile

Wide Sharpie, We tried the paint marker on a black bottom inflatable, didn't like it, it transferred onto everything else.

I've seen chalk used too. Of course you have to remark every time.

We use a sharpie to write on a piece of vinyl with a hole punched through it and attached to the strap buckle with a zip tie. We use different colors to help narrow it down at a glance even before you can read the tag. For example, if I see a big black roll with a blue tag, and I know it's a Big Kahuna without even having to read the letters "BK" on the tag.

Same thing happened to us but we weren't as fortunate. We got our purple Mickey Mouse Club house and our Dream Castle II units wrong. Where would I find this "White Paint Pen" at? How long would you say it lasts?

Paint pens are at hardware stores. alot of times I mark them every week during inventory. I can still read most of my paint pen markings from 3 years ago.

I just keep a rather small inventory so I can identify them by looks.

I'm on my second year, and could have over 20 units and making $120k + a year like the guys in Sacramento, but I choose not to so I can easily identify my units by appearence, rather than marking them.

Im just the opposit of JL, I'd rather have 50 inflatables labeled then 15 that I can identify by sight. But to each his own!

We used to just identify everything by the look and size of the unit, but now that we are bigger and have way more staff, thats not attiquite aymore. We tuck the label under the strap.

We write on the bottom of the inflatable with a black sharpie. We also had orange vinyl sewn onto all of our straps. Each of the straps is also labeled.

Spare peice of vinyl with one of the straps run through it. We always leave the straps and label under the unit. On the label we put the following with a black Sharpie, as an example:

Dolphin Express
1 HP
6 Anchors
2 Tethers

Why not just write in black permament marker on the straps near the loop or ratchet. Mark on both sides.

Your straps stay with the inflatables, don't they??

Chalk doesn't make sense

THanks guys...I just bought myself a JUMBO fatty Sharpie (Walmart) for labeling the underside of the moonbounces and straps. Thanks again.
